Working House Fire on 7/26/18

Company 11 crews worked through the night on a house fire in the 14500 block of Black Ankle Road in Mount Airy. Co 11 units responded on the first alarm, along with multiple units from both Frederick & Carroll counties. Quint 11 crew assisted with extinguishing the fire and Chief 11-1 handled the water supply for the incident. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.... (Full Story & Photos)

Water Rescue on the Monocacy River

The Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company was first due for a water rescue on the Monocacy River at Devilbiss Bridge on Sunday, July 22nd, 2018.

Units were dispatched for a full Swift Water Rescue assignment around 3pm July 22nd - 2 subjects in the water hanging on trees after their boat capsized. Units responded on TAC Channel, along with Deputy Chief Chad Barrick, Battalion 902, and Chief 24. Deputy ... (Full Story & Photos)

Our deepest condolences go out to Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services for the loss of one of their own in the 7-alarm house fire in Clarksville early Monday morning. Firefighter Nathan Flynn, 34, of Harford County was a 13-year veteran of HCDFRS. The community and family are in our thoughts and prayers.... (Full Story & Photos)
